The Foresight Film & Music Workshop | June 24 -28

In partnership with Creative City KC – UNESCO City of Music, the Foresight Film and Music Workshop will foster the growth of new business, develop workforce skills to youth and young adults, and create a path for sustainability of culture and heritage through the arts.
The Foresight Film and Music Workshop will be held from June 24-26, 2024 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City at the Katz Hall Building. Classes will last 6-8 hours with a one-hour complimentary lunch break. Instructors will include local and Hollywood industry professionals. Each one will conduct a 2-hour presentation followed by a Q&A session. Space is limited!
The project will culminate with the filming of a Proof-of-Concept video on June 27-28, 2024. The video will reflect the influence of Kansas City on the Jazz industry and features the historical connection between jazz musicians the preservation of the communities where jazz greats lived and thrived.
